Acres and Oceans

Some tracks are so good that you can’t help but hit repeat again and again. We’re lucky enough to experience that feeling quite often with our talented roster, so we thought it would only be fair to share… Today’s TRACK OF THE DAY is Fathers Son by Acres and Oceans.

Three brothers from Caterham. Three musicians, creating music in their homes.

The band grew up around music where their Irish grandfather would play box ‘n’ fiddle nights across the south east with his accordion. With an eclectic history of music that stretches to classical instrumentation, the music is the sum of their musical pasts giving a modern yet authentic folk vibe. Calling to play the mandolin, guitar, drums and their voices to produce and big driving folky sound, Acres and Oceans were formed.

Gigging the London scene created heights of supporting The Libertines bassist band ‘John Hassall and The April Rainers’ at Proud Camden and the 02 Academy Islington on multiple occasions.
