Karl-by-the-sea is a Hong Kong-born, London-based musician with a sound described as “The Beach Boys meet Mariah Carey”. Drawing inspiration from the funkiness of 60s music and modern R&B grooves, his music is a synthesized yet organic exploration of peculiar human connections and unorthodox feelings, often paired with his own layered, choir-of-one harmonies. Bridging the interior world of songwriting and an eclectic live presence, Karl’s performances echo his roots by the sea – ever-changing yet always dynamic.
