Katie Cheung is her real name however her artist’s name is liwukmusic. Liwu is Katies middle name and derives from her Chinese ancestry meaning gift in mandarin. “I want people to feel as if they are receiving a gift when listening to my music”. Katie took two gap years where she discovered her love for film and electronic music. Katie did some traveling in this time “when I was in Tokyo I got the opportunity to present my film score that I had written for a 3-piece string section, this inspired me to blend the two genres together and allowed me to see how music creativity in itself is a language”. To create something different Katie combines film and electronic creating electronic film fusion.
