After a small break from performing live Pending are back and ready to showcase the new music they’ve been working on – Join us on the 1st of December at The Sunflower Lounge!

The Sunflower Lounge brings the glamour and grunge of New York dive bars to the centre of Birmingham. Since 2002, it has showcased the best of underground, breaking and local talent in our basement bar and forward-thinking DJs in the main bar. It has been a key part of the Birmingham live music circuit for 20 years showcasing intimate performances from the likes of Peace, The Amazons, Foals, Wolf Alice, Royal Blood, Dua Lipa, Rat Boy, Swim Deep and many more…

Meet the lineup

PENDING

‘Pending’ is a Birmingham-based rock band that formed back in July 2019, with the members studying music at BIMM Birmingham. The band consists of Paul Barnes (Vocals), Jamie Prew (Guitar), Nikola Yanev (Bass), and Jacob Oakey (Drums).

Pending released their debut single ‘Til’ The Sun Goes Down’ on 25th September 2020, refusing to let the Coronavirus pandemic dampen their spirits. Pending released their second single, ‘This Life Is Boring’ on 12th March 2021 and their third single, ‘Just A Little Broken’ on 16th April 2021. On 28th May, Pending released their self-titled debut EP and as coronavirus restrictions eased they closed out 2021 with headline shows at ‘The Sunflower Lounge’ and ‘The Flapper’.

After an extended break from performing live and nearly a year since their last release, Pending are back with a brand new single recorded by Birmingham producer ‘Sam Stringer’ titled ‘Crazy World Of Lies’.
