Richard Morris is an independent singer-songwriter from Portsmouth(UK). He has recently released his greatly anticipated 2nd EP "Stay Alive”, hitting No.3 in the iTunes singer/songwriter charts. Championed by the likes of BBC Introducing he was crowned "BBC Introducing Artist of the Week" on Georgey Tonight, the national BBC evening show with an estimated 1.3 million listeners. ‘Stay Alive’ received airplay on all 40 BBC local radio stations and Richard was awarded “Artist of the Week” by national booker Hotvox.
Richard first won over fans with his summery debut EP "Await the Sunset”. Upon releasing his debut, iTunes and Apple Music featured him as a new artist for 8 consecutive weeks on their New Music and Apple Music’s (UK) Singer Songwriter Page. Richard was consequently invited to be the first ever artist to perform in the BBC Radio Solent live lounge and was the first artist to ever be premiered by world famous Vocalzone. After selling EP's in over 15 countries and completing a headline European Tour, Richard was greeted back to the UK with a host of headline and main stage appearances throughout 2016.
His gritty and soulful songwriting has already seen him sharing stages with Little Comets, The Big Moon, Clean cut Kid, Syd Arthur, Youth Club, Guvna B and Skinny Living. His music has been previously used by mega companies such as LATAM airlines and the London Instagram account (2 million followers). With “Stay Alive” recently having its first glimpse at the world, 2017 looks to be the biggest year yet for the young singer/songwriter.
